The New York State Banking Department is seeking a candidate with a PhD. in economics, finance, mathematics, or accounting for the position of Assistant Director of Banking Research and Statistics in the Financial Services Research unit. The Research unit covers the financial services industry in New York State, and focuses on industry analysis, consumer products, and changes in both national and international regulation. The Assistant Director of Banking Research and Statistics will carry out data analysis, produce reports, and contribute to research projects. Candidates should have one year experience in economics or finance research or analysis and should be able to demonstrate knowledge of statistical and other computer programs and superior writing skills. Annual salary for this position ranges between $60,759 and $76,626 and is commensurate with experience.
